{"id":2170,"date":"2020-04-23T15:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-04-23T15:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theschoolofwe.com\/?p=2170"},"modified":"2020-06-10T17:09:10","modified_gmt":"2020-06-10T17:09:10","slug":"lo-que-el-mindfulness-no-es","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theschoolofwe.com\/es\/lo-que-el-mindfulness-no-es\/","title":{"rendered":"Lo que el mindfulness no es"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p align=\"justify\">Si nos vamos unos a\u00f1os para atr\u00e1s (\u00a1y no tantos!), encontramos que Mindfulness era un concepto completamente desconocido para la mayor\u00eda de la poblaci\u00f3n o que estaba asociado con algo \u201craro, extra\u00f1o y marginal\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p align=\"justify\">Hoy en d\u00eda, Mindfulness ha sido protagonista de varias portadas de revistas (como TIME) y hay estanter\u00edas repletas de libros hablando del tema. Adem\u00e1s, Mindfulness es practicado y promovido abiertamente por CEOs, profesionales, empresas, estudiantes universitarios, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p align=\"justify\">Aun as\u00ed, esto que algunos han llamado \u00abrevoluci\u00f3n Mindfulness\u00bb contiene muchas ideas falsas, malas interpretaciones o expectativas err\u00f3neas. Este art\u00edculo pretende aclarar algunos de estos \u00abmitos\u00bb en torno a Mindfulness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Es una moda hippie o new age <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p align=\"justify\">Hace alg\u00fan tiempo, Mindfulness se asociaba (y a menudo incorrectamente) con grupos, contextos o movimientos muy espec\u00edficos y se describ\u00eda f\u00e1cilmente como algo \u201dcomplejo y raro\u201d. A medida que se hizo popular, se hizo m\u00e1s visible y visto como \u00abuna moda\u00bb. En realidad, Mindfulness (tambi\u00e9n conocido en castellano como \u201catenci\u00f3n plena\u201d) es cada vez m\u00e1s popular por dos razones principales: por un lado, ha aumentado mucho la evidencia cient\u00edfica sobre los beneficios de la pr\u00e1ctica del Mindfulness (solo en 2019 hab\u00eda alrededor de 1200 art\u00edculos cient\u00edficos sobre el tema); por otro lado, cada vez son m\u00e1s los personajes p\u00fablicos que comparten con naturalidad que son practicantes y que disfrutan de sus m\u00faltiples beneficios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Es una pr\u00e1ctica religiosa o espiritual. <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p align=\"justify\">Sabemos de muchas culturas o religiones que utilizan pr\u00e1cticas o rituales para facilitar el autoconocimiento y estar presentes en el momento actual (como la meditaci\u00f3n, la oraci\u00f3n, el yoga, el tai chi, etc.). El Mindfulness (o la atenci\u00f3n plena) tal cual lo conocemos y practicamos no est\u00e1 relacionado con ninguna religi\u00f3n o pr\u00e1ctica espiritual en particular, y al mismo tiempo, es compatible con cualquiera de ellas. La atenci\u00f3n plena es, por lo tanto, introducida y ense\u00f1ada en el contexto secular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p align=\"justify\">\nEs importante aclarar que la meditaci\u00f3n de Mindfulness es un tipo de meditaci\u00f3n y que hay otros tipos de meditaci\u00f3n. Espec\u00edficamente, la meditaci\u00f3n de Mindfulness busca entrenar nuestra atenci\u00f3n. Por otro lado, hay otras pr\u00e1cticas de Mindfulness que no son meditaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Se trata de liberarme totalmente de los pensamientos<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p align=\"justify\">John Kabat-Zinn (fundador del programa MBSR y reconocido autor y orador en Mindfulness) dice cuando nos esforzamos por liberar todos nuestros pensamientos, \u00a1lo mejor que obtendremos ser\u00e1 un gran dolor de cabeza! Los pensamientos son naturales y siempre surgir\u00e1n. Lo que pretendemos con la pr\u00e1ctica de Mindfulness es aprender a observarlos con curiosidad, amabilidad y sin juicio, sin involucrarnos demasiado con ellos. Con ello podremos identificar patrones de pensamientos, disminuir el acto de rumiar y rumiar, y dejar espacio para esos pensamientos que son realmente importantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No es para m\u00ed<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p align=\"justify\">Una persona naturalmente acelerada, hiperactiva y estresada recibe como imposible la idea de detenerse por un tiempo y \u00abobservar\u00bb los pensamientos, emociones o sensaciones del cuerpo. Sin embargo, decimos que cuando alguien siente que no tiene tiempo para detenerse, es entonces cuando realmente necesita hacerlo. El tiempo dedicado a la pr\u00e1ctica ayuda a calmar la mente (y el cuerpo) y se compensa con un mayor enfoque, una mayor claridad mental y una mayor experiencia del momento presente. El mundo seguir\u00e1 siendo \u00abca\u00f3tico\u00bb y aparecer\u00e1n oleadas de estr\u00e9s, pero la pr\u00e1ctica (con disciplina) ayuda a identificar, lidiar y recuperarse mejor de ese estr\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Es una soluci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida o panacea.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p align=\"justify\">Vivimos con tanta prisa que nos hemos acostumbrado a respuestas r\u00e1pidas, incluso instant\u00e1neas, a todo aquello que necesitamos. Y a medida que la investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica valida los beneficios de practicar Mindfulness, m\u00e1s aumentan las expectativas de resultados r\u00e1pidos. Pero es importante aclarar que no se trata de leer un libro, asistir a un taller ni uni\u00e9ndose a un programa intensivo de 8 semanas. De lo que se trata, aquello que te convertir\u00e1 en una persona m\u00e1s consciente (como su nombre lo indica) es de \u00abpracticar\u00bb de manera constante. Para experimentar los beneficios, debe haber compromiso, integraci\u00f3n, disciplina, incluso resiliencia.
