(parte 1)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Durante mucho tiempo, la autocompasi\u00f3n fue una palabra que no me gustaba. La asoci\u00e9 con el acto de sentir l\u00e1stima por m\u00ed, de manera que si yo sent\u00eda l\u00e1stima por m\u00ed, los dem\u00e1s tambi\u00e9n la sentir\u00edan, lo que me convertir\u00eda en v\u00edctima y eso siempre lo quise evitar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tard\u00e9 alg\u00fan tiempo en darme cuenta de que no puede haber compasi\u00f3n por el otro sin la autocompasi\u00f3n. Y que cuidar de los dem\u00e1s (algo que siempre est\u00e1 muy presente en m\u00ed) solo es posible si primero nos cuidamos a nosotros mismos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He llegado a la conclusi\u00f3n de que este sentir no es solo m\u00edo, sino m\u00e1s bien un retrato de la sociedad en la que vivimos, especialmente en mi generaci\u00f3n y en generaciones anteriores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul Gilbert, fundador de <strong>Terap\u00eda Centrada en la Compasi\u00f3n<\/strong> (\u00f3 CFT seg\u00fan las siglas de Compassionate Focused Therapy), nos dice que la gran mayor\u00eda de las personas tienen miedo a ser compasivas consigo mismas porque sienten que no lo merecen. \u00c9sta y no otra es la realidad que creamos desde todos esos mensajes que nos llegan de la sociedad: que para ser mejores y \u201carreglarnos\u201d necesitamos soluciones externas, que no somos suficientes, que tenemos que ser \u201cperfectos\u201d, que ya hemos \u201cnacido en pecado\u201d y que en el pecado moriremos &#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De ni\u00f1os, una gran mayor\u00eda de nosotros sentimos el bloqueo de no poder expresar nuestras opiniones y emociones. \u00abLos ni\u00f1os callan y no tienen opini\u00f3n\u00bb, \u00abdeja de llorar o ser\u00e9 yo el que te d\u00e9 m\u00e1s\u00bb, \u00ablos hombres no lloran\u00bb, \u00abquita esa cara y sonr\u00ede a la gente\u00bb, \u00bb no deber\u00edas sentirte as\u00ed\u00bb, y tantas otras expresiones que formaron parte de nuestra educaci\u00f3n &#8230; o quiz\u00e1s, de nuestra des-educaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As\u00ed fue como llegamos a adultos sin un lenguaje emocional, con dificultad para regular nuestras emociones, dej\u00e1ndolas \u201cexplotar\u201d en conductas impulsivas o enterr\u00e1ndolas dentro, en el centro de lo que somos, en las entra\u00f1as, condicionando y empeorando nuestra salud f\u00edsica y mental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>La autocompasi\u00f3n es, ante todo, una estrategia para la regulaci\u00f3n emocional. <\/em>Y como las emociones son las que nos conectan con los dem\u00e1s, decimos que la autocompasi\u00f3n tiene un impacto tanto individual como colectivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contrariamente a lo que cre\u00edmos, la autocompasi\u00f3n no lleva a la pasividad. Por el contrario, la aceptaci\u00f3n (y el no rechazo) de que el error, el fracaso y las emociones dif\u00edciles son parte de la vida conlleva a una mayor motivaci\u00f3n para seguir avanzando y hacerlo mejor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Uno de los estudios realizados en esta \u00e1rea, desarrollado por los investigadores <strong>Breines &amp; Chen<\/strong> de la <strong>Universidad de California<\/strong>, evalu\u00f3 los efectos de un entrenamiento en compasi\u00f3n. En el estudio, se form\u00f3 a un grupo de estudio con pr\u00e1cticas de autocompasi\u00f3n y se utilizaron dos grupos de control, uno sin intervenci\u00f3n y otro con entrenamiento en autoestima. Los resultados del grupo de autocompasi\u00f3n fueron mejores que los resultados de los dos grupos de control, de manera que los investigadores concluyeron que la autocompasi\u00f3n puede aumentar la motivaci\u00f3n para la superaci\u00f3n personal, ya que anima a las personas a enfrentar sus errores y debilidades sin autocr\u00edtica y sin auto engrandecimiento defensivo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>La autocompasi\u00f3n nos ayuda a mirar lo que hay en nosotros, con aceptaci\u00f3n y amabilidad.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Durante mucho tiempo, la autocompasi\u00f3n fue una palabra que no me gustaba.
