Dois monges zen, Tanzan e Ekido, caminhavam por uma estrada rural muito lamacenta depois de uma forte chuva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perto de uma aldeia, eles encontraram uma jovem e bonita mulher a tentar atravessar a estrada, mas a lama era t\u00e3o profunda que teria estragado o quimono de seda que ela estava vestia. Imediatamente, Tanzan pegou nela e a carregou at\u00e9 ao outro lado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Os monges continuaram a caminhar em sil\u00eancio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cinco horas depois, perto do templo onde iam ficar, Ekido n\u00e3o se conteve mais:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Por que \u00e9 que levaste aquela jovem at\u00e9 ao outro lado da estrada? – perguntou \u2013 \u00c9 suposto que n\u00f3s, monges, n\u00e3o fa\u00e7amos coisas assim.
– Eu j\u00e1 deixei a jovem h\u00e1 horas” – respondeu Tanzan -. Tu ainda a est\u00e1s a carregar?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
