Este aumento de notoriedade tem certamente a vantagem de permitir o conhecimento e a oportunidade de pr\u00e1tica a muito mais pessoas, mas por outro lado tamb\u00e9m o pode tornar um conceito vulgarizado, pouco claro e muitas vezes mal compreendido.<\/p>\n<p>Dentro dos que ainda n\u00e3o t\u00eam experi\u00eancia com a pr\u00e1tica de Mindfulness, observo muitas vezes dois extremos: os que recebem o conceito com a expectativa de que seja uma panaceia para todos os males e os que o renegam por o conectarem a v\u00e1rios mitos em seu redor, nomeadamente a uma pr\u00e1tica religiosa, hippie, \u201cna moda\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Talvez parte desta confus\u00e3o e incompreens\u00e3o seja porque o Mindfulness \u00e9 em sim mesmo um conceito extremamente simples, mas normalmente dif\u00edcil de cultivar e praticar.<\/p>\n<p>Todos n\u00f3s temos a capacidade de \u201cpraticar mindfulness\u201d nos diversos momentos da nossa vida. \u00c9 na realidade uma capacidade humana b\u00e1sica, mas que no ritmo fren\u00e9tico e cheio de distra\u00e7\u00f5es em que vivemos nos esquecemos de \u201cpraticar\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Mindfulness (muitas vezes traduzido em portugu\u00eas como aten\u00e7\u00e3o plena) \u00e9 a capacidade de estar presente no momento, de forma consciente e atenta ao que se passa dentro de n\u00f3s (pensamentos, emo\u00e7\u00f5es, sensa\u00e7\u00f5es f\u00edsicas) e ao nosso redor. E observ\u00e1-lo com uma atitude de curiosidade, gentileza e n\u00e3o julgamento.<\/p>\n<p>O Mindfulness tamb\u00e9m pode ser entendido pelo que n\u00e3o \u00e9. Apesar de algumas das pr\u00e1ticas de mindfulness serem pr\u00e1ticas meditativas (que ao longo do tempo foram utilizadas tamb\u00e9m com fins espirituais), o Mindfulness n\u00e3o \u00e9 uma religi\u00e3o, nem inerentemente um conceito m\u00edstico ou espiritual. Pode ser praticado de forma perfeitamente secular. O Mindfulness tamb\u00e9m n\u00e3o \u00e9 limparmos os pensamentos e negarmos as nossas emo\u00e7\u00f5es. Pelo contr\u00e1rio, \u00e9 compreender como a mente funciona e saber acolher e reconhecer os pensamentos e as emo\u00e7\u00f5es para melhor lidar com elas. O Mindfulness tamb\u00e9m n\u00e3o \u00e9 um \u201ctratamento\u201d para todos os males, n\u00e3o \u00e9 uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o r\u00e1pida, \u00e9 uma pr\u00e1tica e como tal, exige inten\u00e7\u00e3o e disciplina. E uma aprendizagem cont\u00ednua.<\/p>\n<p>Para praticar Mindfulness, tamb\u00e9m n\u00e3o temos que nos afastar e isolarmos do mundo. Como refere John Kabat-Zinn (o grande respons\u00e1vel por trazer o Mindfulness para a pr\u00e1tica cl\u00ednica): a verdadeira medita\u00e7\u00e3o est\u00e1 na tua vida.
