Toda a aldeia estava cansada dele; ele estava sempre triste, reclamando constantemente e sempre de mau humor. Quanto mais ele vivia, mais vil ele se tornava e mais venenosas eram as suas palavras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As pessoas faziam de tudo para o evitar porque a sua desgra\u00e7a era contagiosa. Ele criava nos outros o sentimento de infelicidade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mas um dia, quando ele fez oitenta anos, algo incr\u00edvel aconteceu. Instantaneamente, todos come\u00e7aram a ouvir o boato: &#8220;<em>O velho est\u00e1 feliz hoje, n\u00e3o reclama de nada, sorri e at\u00e9 seu rosto se refrescou<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Toda a aldeia se reuniu em torno do homem e lhe perguntou: &#8220;<em>O que aconteceu consigo?<\/em>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O velho respondeu: &#8220;<em>Nada de especial. H\u00e1 oitenta anos venho a perseguir a felicidade e foi in\u00fatil. E ent\u00e3o decidi viver sem felicidade e apenas aproveitar a vida.
