The blind and the elephant

A maharajah asked all blind people to be gathered. Then, he ordered to place an elephant in front of them so they could share what they found.

After touching the head, some said: “It looks like a gear of a lever!”.

Those who felt the ear, assured: “It looks like a fan to make wind”.

Those who palpated the fangs said: “It’s like the rod of a plow!”.

Finally, those who caressed the body shared: “It’s a barn”.

And so, as each one was convinced of what they were declaring, a violent argument exploded. They insulted each other and ended up fighting while they asserted that her own understanding was the only right.
